Have a scary Valentine’s Weekend at NYC’s Blood Manor

By Michael Gingold
The people behind New York City’s haunted attraction Blood Manor (542 West 27th Street) usually terrorize guests around Halloween, but they’ve been so successful with that holiday, they’ve decided to spread the fear for another. This Friday-Saturday, February 12-13, they’re presenting a special Bloody Valentine’s Weekend, focusing on the dark and bloody side of love and marriage.

Guests will first enter the Chapel of Death and witness an “unholy matrimony celebration.” Other rooms include an Insane Asylum where the inmates include a couple who have been driven a little crazy by married life, a Garden of Evil where Adam and Eve’s relationship has gone bad, chambers containing sexy and scary temptresses, a Vortex Tunnel of Love and more. Blood Manor’s very special version of Cupid will be lurking about, there’ll be a Beauty Shop of Horrors and much more.

Blood Manor will be open for the Bloody Valentine’s Weekend both nights from 7:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Tickets can be purchased for $25 from the attraction’s official website or $30 at the door; for $40-45, you can get a special RIP Package that includes express entrance and a surprise gift. Check out the Manor’s site for further details.
