Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release writer/director Ron Carlson’s LIFE BLOOD to DVD April 27, and we
have the disc details after the jump. The movie was originally filmed as
PEARBLOSSOM, and is also known as MURDER WORLD.
Sophie Monk from THE HILLS RUN RED and Anya Lahiri star in
the film as Brooke and Rhea, a lesbian couple who encounter a supernatural
being while driving down the Pearblossom Highway on New Year’s Eve 1968. The
pair are sent to sleep for 40 years, after which they awaken as vampiric
creatures—and soon are at odds with each other. The cast also includes the
HALLOWEEN films’ Scout Taylor-Compton, Justin Shilton, Patrick Renna, Danny
Woodburn, Angela Lindvall, Electra Avellan and genre veteran Charles Napier.
The movie will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1
sound, accompanied by audio commentary by Carlson and Monk and deleted/extended
scenes. Retail price is $26.98; check out the trailer (bearing the original
