COLD STORAGE coming to DVD

By Michael Gingold
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that it will release the chiller COLD STORAGE to DVD May 4. The film played numerous festivals over the last couple of years, including Scotland’s Dead By Dawn, where it won the Audience Award, the Macabro Horror Film and Video Festival, the Seattle True Independent Film Festival, the BendFilm Festival and others.

Nick Searcy, seen as villainous deviants in TIMBER FALLS and NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH a.k.a. DEADLY END, plays another one here, a loner named Clive who lives in a backwoods cabin. When a young woman is mortally injured in a car accident nearby, he takes her in and becomes infatuated with her, and things only get nastier when her boyfriend and sister show up. The cast also includes SCREAM 3’s Matt Keeslar, Joelle Carter, Sean Bridgers and Casey Leet; Tony Elwood directed from a script he wrote with Mark Kimray. The movie will be accompanied on disc by multiple making-of featurettes and a blooper reel; cover art is coming soon, and the retail price is $26.98. Check out the trailer below.
