Director Jack Perez dropped Fango a line with details on
SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE, an offbeat serial-killer/revenge shocker he’s just
about to start lensing. Scripted by Ryan A. Levin, who made the horror shorts
THE FIFTH (an award-winner at Fantasia, Fantastic Fest and other festivals) and
TOUR DE FRIGHT, the movie is executive-produced by John Landis and stars Kevin
Corrigan, whose credits include THE LAST WINTER and a recent recurring role on
FRINGE (and playing a nerdy Fango fan in WALKING AND TALKING), in the title
role.
When it came to casting SOME GUY, “Right away I thought of
Kevin Corrigan [pictured] for the leading role of Ken, a suicidal illustrator
who violently strikes out against a group of vicious bullies who tortured him
in high school,” Perez says. “Kevin and I had always wanted to do something
together, and he soon signed on, followed by the amazing Karen Black as Ken’s
mother, Lucy Davis from the original THE OFFICE and SHAWN OF THE DEAD as Ken’s
would-be girlfriend, Barry Bostwick as the wacked-out small-town sheriff trying
to catch the killer, child actor Ariel Gade from DARK WATER and ALIENS VS.
PREDATOR—REQUIEM as Ken’s daughter and KIDS’ Leo Fitzpatrick as Ken’s best
friend. I count myself lucky to have secured such a fine cast.”
