Actress Julin, who can be seen in theaters right now in Joey
Stewart’s revenge chiller THE FINAL, gave Fango the exclusive first look at
some of her latest modeling pics; check ’em out below the cut. She also talked
to us about THE FINAL, part of After Dark Horrorfest 4, in which she plays one
of a group of “mean kids” who suffer badly at the hands of an outcast group
they tormented in high school.
That suffering became a little too real in one scene, Julin
reveals. “I was really tied to a chair, I couldn’t move at all and then they
put a ball gag in my mouth. This girl was putting a shaving-cream concoction on
my face and put a little too much in my nose, and I couldn’t breathe. Thank God
they didn’t tie the gag too tight, because I spit it out and was like, ‘I can’t
breathe!’ and it was a huge dramatic thing. I was so scared; they didn’t know
if I was acting or what was going on. Then they asked if I needed a couple of
minutes, and I was like, ‘Heck no, let’s go right now, while I have this
energy.’ And then when we did it again, they didn’t know if I was acting or if
I was OK. It was the craziest scene I’ve ever done.”
Beyond that mishap, Julin has overall positive memories of
her time on THE FINAL, including her collaboration with first-time director
Stewart. “He’s usually a 1st AD,” she notes, “and he was really cool, a great
guy, with a real vision of how the movie was going to look. And then at the
wrap party he was like, ‘Tequila shots!’ He was a lot of fun.” The actress adds
that there was no actual animosity between the cast members playing the
tormented and their tormentors, even though they maintained separate groups during
filming. “That way just because the outcasts had their [shooting] days and then
we had our days, but we were all friends and everybody got along. In fact, the
girl who tortured me [on screen], Lindsay [Seidel], and I are still pretty good
friends, and Whitney Hoy and Laura [Samuels]; we’re all still close.”
Julin also gave us a few updates on her latest projects,
including THE TOY BOX, which we just reported on here. In that fact-based shocker, “I’m playing Marie Parker, one of the victims of
serial killer David Parker Ray,” Julin tells us. “I’m also working on a project
called CHERRY BOMB with director Kyle Day. It’s a revenge flick, and I get to
kick ass as the lead character Cherry. The movie takes place in 1984, and
Cherry is an exotic dancer who enlists her brother to help her get revenge on
five guys who have assaulted her and gone free.”
